James Deaver Obituary
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. A Rosary will take place on the same day at 7:00 p.m. at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha. Interment will follow at Sabetha Cemetery in Sabetha.
James attended Sabetha High School, Pittsburg State University, and Washburn University.
He worked for Standard Oil of Indiana, which later became Amoco Oil, and eventually merged with British Petroleum.
In honor of his memory, donations can be made to the Ray and Margaret Deaver Scholarship Fund supporting college students with a focus on agriculture.
