James Denlinger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home - Midwest City on Oct. 9, 2024.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of James Edward Denlinger (nee Jim), a loving husband, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the age of 71.
Jim was born on September 04, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio to George W and Betty Jane Snyder. He received his two-year information technology course from ITT Technical Institute in Dayton. On May 14, 2007, he married Vivien Ignacio Denlinger. They did not have any children.
Jim had a passion for science or celestial objects like stars, planets, galaxies and other phenomena occurring in the universe. He also liked to bird watch and can mimic bird sounds. Jim was also a naturalist. He wanted to feel a connection to nature or to be in close spiritual contact with it. He was known for his dry humor, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Jim was preceded in death by his father George, and his mother Betty and his sister Donna. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Vivien, sisters Linda and Debbie, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service without viewing will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Barnes Friederich Funeral Home on 1820 S. Douglas Blvd in Midwest City at 10 o'clock a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of the Frontier Hospice for their care and compassion.
