Funeral Services for James R. Denman is Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Friday, 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Everett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Denman, 86 years old, died at his residence on August 27, 2024. He is a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church, and a retired truck driver for U.S.A. Truck INC. He was born in Dayton, TN on March 15, 1938, to E.H. and Lela Cox Denman.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Grissom Denman of McKenzie, a daughter MeLisa(Hank) Greve of Milan a son Michael (Kimberley) Denman of Henry, two sisters Roselyn Witherspoon and Sarah (Don) Payne all of Maryville, a brother David (Carolyn) Denman of Dyersburg, five grandchildren Natasha Marie Friedl, AJ (Jennifer)Greve, Hendrik (Katie) Greve, Nelson (Megan) Denman and Braden Clare Denman and seven great-grandchildren Tyler Davidson, Greyson Friedl, Olivia Friedl, Brynn Greve, Beau James Denman, Abraham Douglas and Ezra Douglas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carolyn Leonard, Mary Ruth Hankins, Rachel Denman and two brothers Leland Denman and E.H Denman, Jr.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Beech Springs Baptist Church, Gleason, TN.
