James "Jim" Eugene Dinsmoor, age 79, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at his home in Obetz, OH. Jim was born July 21, 1946 in Albany, OH. Jim is a U.S. Army Veteran. He is a retired Over-the-Road truck driver with 40 years of service and over 1,000,000 miles of safe accident-free driving. Jim enjoyed fishing, mowing his lawn, working on mowers, and sitting in his garage sipping on a cold beer. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Millie Dinsmoor; sister, Dorothy Daughtery; beloved canine companions, Scooter, Spike, and Sammie. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maryann; children, Brian Dinsmoor of Mt. Gilead, OH, Jamie (Jael) Dinsmoor of Canal Winchester, OH, and Kelly (Joe) Herrera of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Joel, Nate, Alexis, Samantha, and Sofia; great grandchildren, Kye, Dominic, Maisy, Mikah, Eevee, Lydia, Charlie, and Sara; sister, Carolyn (Danny) McCollum of Ft. Myers, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation for Jim will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St. in Groveport, OH. Jim's family would like to extend special gratitude to JoEllen Jones, Annie Miller, and Capital City Hospice for their devoted care.
