James DiPetrillo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Woodlawn Funeral Home - Cranston on May 6, 2025.
After a long battle with Parkinson's disease, James Richard DiPetrillo passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 2025, in Sammamish, Washington.
Jim was 79 years old and lived a successful career life-he wore many hats working at Newport News Virgina on Trident Submarines, Boeing for more than 20 years, and later as a Project Manager for Washington Mutual, as well as a Program Manager for Microsoft.
Growing up in Rhode Island, Jim had many happy memories of Sunday family picnics at Goddard Park and July 4th fireworks at Roger Williams Park. Jim also loved being on the ocean and enjoyed surfing at the local beaches.
Jim is survived by his wife Jane, his son Michael DiPetrillo (his partner, Maggie Burke) his son David DiPetrillo (his wife Angela Black), his brother, Robert DiPetrillo, as well as his many close friends. Jim always said the happiest moments of his life were when his family and friends were all gathered together. We'll carry on his desire for us to stay strong and continue to celebrate his life with laughter and wonderful stories.
Jim's wish was to return to his native home of Rhode Island to be buried with his cherished family members. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 9am until 10am at "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, with a funeral service beginning at 10am. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Ann Cemetery.
