Graveside service for James (Dewey) Dixon, age 60 of Como, Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. L.D. Baxley officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Dixon passed away on October 25, 2025 at his residence.
James was born on June 8, 1965 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to James Earl Dixon and Shirley Ann (Reed) Garrett. He worked as a truck driver, mechanic, construction and demolition throughout his life. James had a passion for trading and swapping things. He could fix anything. James was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Mandi Dixon; son, Hunter Dixon; grandchildren, Jacie Dixon and Stella Dixon; sisters, Cindy Price and husband, Pete, Tina Thompson and husband, Ronnie, Crystal Martin and husband, Kenny, and Jamie Slusher and husband, Kenney; loving friends, Larry and wife, Helen Moss, Lisa Reed.
James was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Ashley Dixon, and siblings, Andy Reed, Pat Reed, and Robin Reed.
