James Donica Obituary

James Richard Donica, a man of many talents and cherished by his loved ones, passed away on November 29, 2023. He was born on September 26, 1944 to the late Wenford Donica and Violet (Worley) Donica in Muncie, Indiana. James led a fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Throughout his career, James worked as an over-the-road trucker, exploring the vast landscapes of this great nation. His dedication and skills made him a trusted professional in the industry. Additionally, he contributed to the automotive industry as a machine operator, showcasing his commitment to precision and craftsmanship.
One of James's greatest passions was his faith as a Jehovah's Witness. He found solace in reading the Bible and devoted himself to following its teachings. Alongside his spiritual pursuits, James enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Walking brought him peace, while games of chess and checkers provided intellectual stimulation and friendly competition. However, it was his love for sweets, particularly his favorite donuts from Concannon's Bakery in Muncie that always brought a smile to his face.
He came from a large family of 14, and along with his parents, James was preceded in death by six of his siblings. He will forever be missed by his six surviving siblings, six children: Angela Oliver of Muncie, Indiana, Jason Donica of Greenville, NC, Kimberly Stewart of Parker, Indiana, Jennifer Poore of Pall Mall, Tennessee, Heather Donica of Sarasota, Florida, and Elijah Donica of Muncie, Indiana, along with his nine beloved grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
While we mourn the loss of James, we also celebrate his life and the memories shared together. In accordance with his wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.
May the memory of James Richard Donica endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to assist the Donica family at this time.

Oh Uncle James...we will miss you. My Mom & Dad are praying for you and your family and send their love. I have so many memories of you that will be cherished. I remember you being a prankster and always starting some sort of joke or sage wisdom with "Now Tammy..." May you be reunited in heaven with your loved ones now as I'm sure they have been missing you as well.
