James Thomas Dorsey III

Jim Dorsey, age 60 of Rocky Top, Tennessee passed away on March 7, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville Tennessee. Jim was born December 15, 1964 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Barbara Ann Seferian and James Thomas Dorsey Jr. Jim was raised in Michigan, and lived in both Michigan and Tennessee throughout his life. He loved playing the harmonica, spending time with friends and family, juggling with his nephew, music, dancing, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his brother in law, Michael Guerra.

Son: Johnathan (Jan) Bigham
Grandchildren: Colt Bigham, Mark Bigham, Wyatt Bigham, Noelle Bigham
Sisters: Brenda Ann (Michael) Thomas, Tanya (Michael) Guerra, Monica Koehler, Megan (Otto) White, Sherry (Mark) Douglas, Rhonda (Larry) Dobberstein, Renee (John) Russell
Brothers: Craig (Theresa) Reese
Niece: Chelsea Ann Thomas
Nephew: Nicholas (Analisa) Thomas
Numerous additional nieces and nephews, and a host of close family and friends that felt like family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Main Street Baptist Church in Rocky Top, Tennessee on March 20, 2025.
Receiving of guests will be from 11-1 with a service at 1.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Celebrate Recovery at Main Street Baptist Church.
