It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Mr. James (Dub) Wilson, Sr., age 98. Mr. Wilson passed away September 14, 2025, while at McCoy Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Tabernacle Cemetery in Lynchburg directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Rev. Keith Allison will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday 5-7 at the funeral home in Bishopville.
James was born in Lynchburg a son of the late Corbett Livingston Wilson and Mae Sansbury Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a Painter by trade and a Veteran WW 11, having served in the Navy and Army.
Surviving is his daughter in law, Alicia Sweeny, Garysburg, N.C; one sister, Mary Wilson Truluck Barwick, Manning.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Wilson; one son, James (Hoss) Wilson, Jr.; four sisters, Eva Mae Carter, Frances Hamlin,and Kathleen Washburn; four brothers, Eugene Wilson, Charles Wilson, Herbert Wilson and Hugh Wilson.
