James E Eagens

James E. Eagens, age 91, passed away peacefully at home in Montrose NY on February 22, 2026.

He was born April 26, 1934 in Peekskill NY to Edward S. Eagens, Jr and Luella Risk Eagens.

Jim was a member of the Westchester Teamsters Local 456. He worked as a truck driver for many local construction and oil companies. Outside of his work life, Jim found joy in many pastimes. He had a lifelong love for hunting, fishing, home renovation, motorhome travel, stock cars, motorcycles and gardening. He could often be found watching NASCAR races on TV or tending to flowers and vegetables in his yard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marie Theresa (Antunes) Eagens, his sisters Barbara Eagens Sabato and Beatrice Eagens Fiorio, his nephew Jim Fiorio, and his grandson James D. Eagens. He is survived by one son, Christopher of South Carolina, one brother Thomas (wife Mary) of North Carolina, one brother Joseph (known as Jerry) of Florida, and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home will be handling arrangements for Jim to join his wife at Assumption Cemetery. There are no calling hours. A graveside service and celebration of life will follow at a later date.
