James Eccleston Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home on Oct. 21, 2022.
James J. Eccleston, age 56, of Philadelphia, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on October 18, 2022.
Jim was blessed with a large and loving family, being the youngest of eleven. He loved being a father to his four children, and he took great joy in the time he spent with each of them. His love of the water and a good round of golf will always be remembered as a day well spent. Jim was a gregarious man with a big smile and even bigger personality. He was incredibly hard-working, while also being the life of the party. He truly knew how to make you laugh. Jim was a fan of all types of music and always believed his other life was as a singer. He had a great sense of humor and his laughter could be heard miles away from a good episode of Seinfeld. His love and generosity were beyond measure. He will be greatly missed by all.
Jim is survived by his beloved children, Emily, Ryan, Sean, and Abigail, and their mother Susan. Beloved son of the late John and Kathleen Eccleston. Loving brother to John (Helen), Mickey (Joanne), Rick (Pat), Dennis (Barb), Kevin, Maureen (Bob) Allison, Kathleen, Scott (Lisa), Colleen (Vince) Bruno and Jerry (Jen). Also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Rich and Bert Morrison, sister-in-law Diane Panepresso (Joe), brother-in-law Rich Morrison (Annette), and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to offer condolences to Jim's family Monday, October 24th from 9:30 - 11 AM at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Rd. Funeral Mass 11 AM. Donations in his name may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, www.afsp.org. To share a memory of Jim, please visit www.tjfluehr.com.

Jim was a fantastic human. Those that really knew him loved him. He changed and helped so many lives. I am proud to have called him my friend. I feel a terrible sense of loss which must pale in comparison to the families loss. I will always miss you my friend, your struggle was immense. Your strength over the past years has been admirable, I am so sorry that it couldn´t endure. My thoughts to his family, particularly his children. Jim´s passing is a loss to all.
