James Ell Obituary
James "Jim" Ell, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Meta Ell; cherished son of the late Ferd and Agnes Ell; devoted father of Doug (Robyn) Ell and Shelley (David) Armstrong; proud grandfather of Matthew Armstrong, Amelia Ell, Alexandra Armstrong and Avery Ell; dear brother of Sherrie (Bob) Shelby, the late Joseph (Judy) Ell and the late Elaine (Edward) Kofron; Jim is also survived by his loving companion, Judy Brown.
Jim proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and watching old western movies with a glass of Grey Goose. Jim’s passion and skills shined brightest as a gun enthusiast. He was a skilled gunsmith, a firearms instructor, a competitive shooter and referee and enjoyed the art of negotiating as a regular Gun Show exhibitor.
Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Jim’s name to Leukemia Research Foundation.
