James Charles Ellsmore, 89, Blacklick, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 while at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of William J. and Ella (West) Ellsmore, he was born October 26, 1935 in Indiana, PA.
James was a veteran of the US Army. He was a Missionary Pastor, a church planter, painter, chalk artist, photographer, and musician. He enjoyed playing the harmonica. James will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his four children, James W. (Cheryl) Ellsmore, Woodbridge VA, Lisa Hall and husband Thomas Jacob, Knoxville MD, Rick Ellsmore, Arvada CO, and Amy West, Warrenton VA; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Ellsmore, Indiana PA.
Preceding James in death were his parents; his wife Sarah (Anthony) Ellsmore; and a sister Jean Taylor.
Friends will be received on Saturday, November 30, from 10 until 12 pm at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
Interment will be in the Rowley Cemetery in Hillsdale PA.

James is my 2nd cousin. Always enjoyed sharing time while visiting from out of town when he lived in Glen Campbell. He will surely be missed
