James Epps Obituary
January 18, 2025
James "Bob" Marvin Epps, 87, of Forest, VA, passed away on January 18, 2025. A son of the late James Moses Epps and Leona Herdond Epps. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia Witt Epps.
At 13, Bob joined the Civil Air Patrol, at 18, he joined the USAF, where he served proudly for six years. Bob Was a charter member of Roanoke County #9 Volunteer Fire Department and started the Blueridge Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Gervais Epps; son, Derek Epps (Karen); daughters, Linda Cassell (Greg), Lisa Bryant; grandchildren, Taylor Bryant, Ashley Epps, Alex Cassell; stepchildren, Dorothea Burnett (Roger), Michelle Wotzak (Rob); step-grandchildren, Shelby Burnett, Henry Burnett, Kaia Wotzak; and many other family, friends and Admirers.
A Funeral Service and celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Trinity Ecumenical Parish, Moneta, VA, with Pastor Philip Bouknight officiating.
