Arlene Elizabeth (Miller) Lowe, 84, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in Harrisburg. Born on September 21, 1941, in
Newport, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of the late Albert Y. and Lillie M. (Shaffer) Miller.
Arlene graduated from Newport High School in 1959. Soon after, she married Ralph on March 18, 1961. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage For more than 20 years Arlene worked for the State of Pennsylvania. She worked for the PA State Police and PA Physician Licensing.
Arlene was a member of Bethany Evangelical Church in Carlisle, where she found both community and spiritual comfort.
Arlene was a resident of Dauphin PA for over 50 years. She was active in her community through the Harrisburg Chapter of the Red Hat Society, the Middle Paxton Ladies Auxiliary, and The Sunshine Seniors, where she served as Treasurer.
At home, Arlene found joy and peace in knitting and crocheting for others, and in the thoughtful challenge of a crossword puzzle. These simple pleasures reflected her calm nature and caring soul.
Arlene is lovingly remembered by her sons, Kevin Lowe and his wife, Heather, of Gettysburg, and Keith Lowe of Dauphin; her daughter, Debrakay Lowe of Forest, Virginia; her grandchildren, Wesley Lowe, Adam Lowe, Izabella Lowe, and Lukas Lowe; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Lowe, Jeremiah Lowe, and Ja'Kenzie Newman. She is also survived by her sister, Winona Miller of Dauphin; her sister-in-law, Gladys Benner; and several cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph E. Lowe, who passed away on October 27, 2015; her brother, Stanley Miller; her sister, Catherine J. Miller; and her infant sister, Alberta Miller.
A celebration of Arlene's life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Family and friends are invited to gather for a viewing from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 P.M.
Arlene will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, February 9, 2026. Family and friends are invited to meet at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. to process together to the cemetery for a committal service at 10:30 A.M.
