Audrey Mumma Berger, 93 of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2026. She was born on August 8, 1932, in
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and was the oldest daughter of the late Samuel L. Mumma and Martha M. Mumma.
Audrey lived a full and spirited life marked by independence, generosity, and deep community involvement. She attended Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia, an experience that shaped her lifelong resilience and commitment to advocacy and service. Self-employed for many years as a concession stand operator, Audrey was known for her strong work ethic and friendly nature. She also dedicated many years as a valued volunteer with Radio Reading Services, giving her time to help others stay connected and informed.
A woman of many interests, Audrey belonged to numerous book clubs, card clubs, and organizations for the blind, always enjoying conversation, and friendship. She was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, following her team with unwavering loyalty. Above all, she cherished her family and her beloved dog, Zeus, who was truly her baby and constant companion.
Audrey is survived by her loving children, Terry Elliott and Anthony DiPrizito; her four grandchildren, Heather, Kristen, Nicholas, and Samantha; and her four great-grandchildren, Shawntelle, Shaniah, Shaniece, and Cameron. She is also survived by her brothers, Jack, Ronald, and Richard Mumma. Along with a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Stuppy, and her brothers Samuel Mumma Jr., James Mumma, and Larry Mumma.
A celebration of Audrey's life will be held at 11:00am at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home (2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg) on Wednesday, February 11th 2026. A luncheon will follow in the funeral home's hospitality suite.
