I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
James David Fields, 66, of Lebanon, Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was born in Lebanon on April 26, 1958, the son of the late Samuel and Joan Duty Fields.
He retired from the Carbo Power Plant after 37 years and enjoyed farming, shooting guns, listening to music and watching sports, especially the Las Vegas Raiders.
Survivors include his daughters, Ashley Musick and husband Chris and Heather King and husband Josh; grandchildren, Hunter Musick and girlfriend Katie Pearcy, Malachi Musick, Kaydence King, and Khloe King; brother, Samuel "Jed" Fields and wife Allison; nephews, Nathaniel Fields and Sam Fields; special nephew, Jacob Fields, aunts Margaret Duty, Betty Akers, and Lola Price; uncle, Calvin Fields.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Mount Olive Christian Church Cemetery in Lebanon, with Rev. Darrel Harmon and Benny Walsh officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Green Valley Baptist Church in Lebanon. Pastor Brandon Knuckles will have a closing prayer at 8 p.m.
