James Fiske Obituary

Jim was born in Burlington, VT and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Fiske worked for Easter Seals serving as the executive director in Santa Clara County, California and helped created one of the first Easter Seals Bike-A-Thon. Jim was eventually moved to Philadelphia where he also worked for Easter Seals and was eventually transferred to Florida where he was named Vice President of Easter Seals in the state of Florida. Jim moved back to California and worked for a brief time for the American Heart Association before moving to Delaware where he opened his own landscaping business, Reliable Gardens Landscaping.
Jim was proud of his service to his country and was a member of Mason Dixon VFW Post #7234 in Ocean View where he had served as a former Senior Vice Commander. He loved to cook, camp and follow politics always watching Fox News.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Fiske and two daughters, Susan Fiske and Rebecca Fiske.
A service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
