Arthur A. Largar

Arthur (Art) Anthony Largar, of Millsboro, DE, passed away surrounded by family at home on March 13, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on December 7, 1963, to the late Arthur and Faye Largar, Art will be remembered for his kind spirit, dedication to his family, and selflessness.

Art was a provider, working numerous jobs around New Jersey and New York City. He found his permanent professional home in 2002 as a Publisher at Rodman Media, where he continued to work until the time of his passing. Despite his professional obligations, Art still always found time to volunteer as a coach for his children's Little League teams, including baseball, softball, and basketball.

Art was a man of many talents. In his high school days, he starred in many different stage productions, while also playing numerous sports, once hitting a home run off of future Major League Baseball pitcher Jeff Bittiger. Art was equally as passionate about performing as he was about sports. In addition to the stage productions, he performed in many talent and singing competitions. As a young man, he won a talent competition that featured future Hollywood star Patrick Dempsey.

Art loved many things. A massive New York Giants fan and season ticket holder, watching them win four Super Bowl titles during his lifetime rank as some of his greatest memories. Art also cheered heavily for the New York Yankees and New Jersey Devils, and was able to witness a combined 10 additional championships from those two teams. He was a huge fan of music, and loved Elvis Presley more than any other. Art was also a lover of Godzilla and King Kong, and real world mysteries like aliens and Bigfoot.

But more than anything else, Art loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 36 wonderful years, Barbara-Ann; his two children, Anthony (wife Dallas) and Amanda (wife Gabrielle); his sisters, Beth and Pamela; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Harley, his adored Yorkshire Terrier. In addition to his parents, Art was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis, and Kirby, his Yorkie, who Art loved enough to break a lifelong distaste of tattoos to get a memorial tattoo for.

A memorial service will be held from 12:00 P.M. - 2 P.M. with a brief prayer service immediately following on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Melson's Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you honor Art's memory with a memorial donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
