Catherine "Cathy" Rohner

Catherine "Cathy" Rohner, 74, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away on February 24, 2026, at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on May 11,1951, in Passaic, New Jersey, Cathy lived in North Haledon, New Jersey until she was 11 years old when her family relocated to Middletown, New York. Starting at 19 years old, Cathy lived in Greenwood Lake, New York and the past 10 years in Millsboro Delaware. Cathy was the daughter of the late Jack and Doris Straube. She attended Elon College and went on to build a life defined by love, warmth, and a deep devotion to her family. For almost 55 years, she was the beloved wife of Bruce Rohner.

Cathy had a joy for life's richest pleasures, such as time spent with family and friends, the adventure of travel, and the art of photography.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Rohner; her children, Todd Rohner and his wife Cybil, Tami Rohner, and Jason Rohner and his fiancée Heather Miazga; and her cherished grandchildren, Angelina Rohner, Cameron Rohner, Molly Rohner, Dylan Rohner, Josh Rohner, and Tyler Silverman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Doris Straube, and her brothers, Jack Straube Jr., Rich Straube, and Brian Straube.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Independence Community Clubhouse, 23767 Samuel Adams Circle, Millsboro, DE 19966.

In honor of Cathy's passion and dedication to both children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the family kindly asks that donations in honor of Cathy's memory be made to The ARC, or another cause close to her heart, Habitat for Humanity, or a charity of your choice.
