James Flannery, age 78 of Shiocton, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at ThedaCare Appleton. Jim was born on February 18, 1947 in New London to the late Edward and Elna (Estabrook) Flannery. He married Ruth Fassbender on July 26, 1969 in Greenville. Jim began his working career as on over the road truck driver and then went on to work for Murphy Concrete and Construction, retiring after over 40 years there. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his UTV. Jim loved his Sunday rides and camping with Ruth. Another favorite pastime of his was attending hunting and boating shows. Above all Jim loved time spent with his family.

Jim is survived by his children, John (Ellen) Flannery, Pat (Valery) Flannery and Dan (Heidi) Flannery and his grandchildren, Zachary, Katelyn, Ethan, Samuel, Reid, Edward and Jack.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; brother, Robert; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Irene Fassbender and brothers-in-law, Tom (Carol) and Joe Fassbender.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville with Fr. Michael Thiel officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time off the Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bear Creek.

The family wishes to thank the nurses from ThedaCare At Home Hospice, Stephen Taylor and the staff at ThedaCare ICU.
