James H. Fleming II of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Thursday June 26, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born in Philadelphia on April 27, 1947 to the late James H. Jr. and Patricia Fleming, and he has been a resident of Maple Shade for the last 54 years. Jim was a pattern maker by trade and was formerly employed by Franklin Machine Products in Lumberton. He also formerly owned and operated Woodcrest Hardware in Cherry Hill and Maple Shade Indoor Archery in Maple Shade. Jim was an active and devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a member and past Grand Knight of OLPH Council #5714 in Maple Shade. He enjoyed boating,fishing,woodworking and took great pleasure in attending his grandchildren’s various activities and sporting events.
Beloved husband of 56 years to Donna Fleming (nee Aigner), loving father to Aileen (Joe) Vanore and Mark (Karen) Fleming, cherished grandfather to Alexis, Ashley, Addison, Josie and Kathryn, dear brother to Patricia McDermott and special brother-in-law to Chickie Aigner, Jim will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Wednesday, July 2nd 6-9 PM and Thursday morning 9:30-10:30 AM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at the above address.
