James Arnold Flournoy, of Bronwood, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the age of 85, at Magnolia Manor. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Parrott City Cemetery at 4:00 PM.
Born on April 11, 1940 in Parrott GA, to the late Perry Lee and Willie Holley Flournoy. James enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from Dawson Manufacturing Company. Beyond his professional life, he had a deep passion for racing. He loved to race dirt track cars with AJL Racing Team and found joy in watching NASCAR events.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing him often recall fond memories of him riding his golf cart around Bronwood, bringing smiles and waves to neighbors and friends. James was a member of Bronwood Methodist Church.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lynette Flournoy, and his son, Dennis Flournoy, siblings, Russell Flournoy, Dorothy Dismuke, Hazel Foreman, and daughter-in-law, Loretta Flournoy.
James is survived by his son, Allen Flournoy; granddaughter, Lauralee Flournoy Hamrick and her husband Tyler; nephew, Martin Foreman; niece, Patsy Wells; and a great-grandchild on the way, and also he had special caregivers Jana Holloway several nurses and CNAs that loved him dearly.
A visitation will be held at Parrott City Cemetery on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 one hour prior to the graveside service.
