James Gamble, 88, of East Orange, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025. A lifelong resident of East Orange, James was known throughout the community for his warmth, dedication, and many years as a skilled barber and world traveler.
Born on September 11, 1937, James was the beloved son of Alma Gamble, who predeceased him in 2001. He was also predeceased by his brother, George Gamble, in 1995. For more than 20 years, James shared his life with his cherished partner, Connie Newton, who passed away in 2007.
James is survived by his loving son, James Gamble Jr., and his adored grandson, Ryan James Gamble. He also leaves behind two nephews, Glenn Gamble and Eric Gamble, and his sister-in-law, Hallie Gamble.
James will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, and the many friendships he nurtured over the years. His legacy of love and community spirit will live on through those who knew
