A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jim was the son of James Harvey Gaunt II and Helen Patricia Burke. Jim was also the brother to two sisters (Judith Mersel and Joy Brutto) and a brother (Jon Gaunt). Jim married the love of his life, Patricia Dorsey Gaunt and together they raised two children, Darbi (Jason) Booher and Christopher (Katie) Gaunt. Jim was also a proud Papa to his three grandchildren, Jack Christopher, Avery Eileen and Quinn Eileen.
Throughout his life, Jim's dedication to fairness, integrity and honesty, coupled with his humility, intelligence and sense of humor, served him and those around him in both his personal and professional life, including an accomplished executive career in the automotive industry. Jim was a mentor and friend to many, loved golf, a good hot dog or any dessert, his Nittany Lions and hometown Pittsburgh Steelers.
Groce Funeral Home's Lake Julian team is assisting the Gaunt family.
