Bro. James Stewart Gibson

Nettleton- Bro. James Stewart Gibson, 94, passed away on November 1, 2022 at the NMMC in Tupelo. He was born on November 11, 1927 to parents Rev. James W. Gibson and Stella Jewel (Scribner) Gibson. He lived most of his life in the Nettleton area. He was a graduate of MS State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and he was a veteran of World War II. During his career he had worked as an engineer in the electronics field. Bro. James was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed watching Westerns on television and he loved spending time with his family.
There will be a Graveside Service at Gray's Cemetery on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jordan Davis officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by two sons, Bennie Gibson (Kaye), Ronnie Gibson, one sister Betty Jean Taylor, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Johnnie R. Gibson, two sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Clint Gibson, Cliff Gibson, Braden Hamilton, Justin Gibson, Lex Gibson, Jax Gibson and Brooks Vanlandingham.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton.
