I am so saddened to find that Jim Glancey has passed. Back in the early 80s a fishing trip took place. My dad, Johnny Durr, and a young Jim Glancey were invited to do some ocean fishing on a boat owned and piloted by a Columbus electrician. The trip through the inlet is generally a rough passage and this particular day was quite severe. At several points John Durr was lifted up off of his seat and thrown toward the side of the boat-- almost over the gunwale. It was Jim Glancey's lightening-fast reflexes that grabbed John by the belt and pulled him back down to safety. Jim earned Hero-Status that day with those men. Rest Easy, Jim Glancey.

Jim was one of those people who moved quietly yet you couldn´t help but notice him because of his brilliance and warm energy. We were in several classes together throughout our high school years and he impressed and impacted many. Take your well deserved rest Jim for your Amazing Life Work & Legacy Lives On. To his Loved Ones... My Sincere Condolences

Jim was such a nice guy in high school. I'm glad to know he had such a wonderful career and found a loving wife and son. My sincere condolences to them and Kathleen and her family as well.
