James (Jim) Richard Goetz Jr., age 76, passed away on February 19, 2023. He was a life-long Summit County resident and worked as an engineering lab tech in the aerospace industry. James served in the United States Army in Vietnam, and spent a year in Germany with his wife. He was an avid car enthusiast and loved his old hot rods. James also loved telling animated stories, spending summers at the beach with his family, and the Cleveland Indians.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Marilyn Goetz. James is survived by his beloved wife Linda; children Lincoln (Kristy), Jason (Heather), and Traci (Billy); grandchildren Josh, Anna, Evan, Tommy, and Logan; sister Denise Lowrey; sister-in-laws Nancy Stevens (Dave) and Kathy Syphrit (Steve); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside Service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087 on Monday February 27th, 2023 at 12 Noon. (PLEASE MEET AT CEMETERY GATES). Lunch to follow at Mavis Winkles Irish Pub. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve hospicewr.org.
