Age 74, passed away peacefully at Gateway Home in Attica, NY, on November 14, 2025, surrounded by love.

Jim was born on October 11, 1951, in Salamanca, NY, the son of the late James Graham Sr. and Hattie Marie (Wilson) Graham. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna (Murdock), and his daughters, Sarah L. Graham and Kristine M. Graham, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Debra D’Avanzato, his niece, Catherine D’Avanzato (Eric Bennett), and great-nieces and great nephews who adored their “Uncle Jim.”

Jim devoted 37 years to teaching mathematics at the Alexander Central School District, where he inspired countless students and colleagues. He was also proud to serve as president of the NYS United Teachers Association, always standing up for his peers and for education.

Outside of school, Jim poured his heart into his community. He was an active member of the YMCA and the Wyoming County Community Hospital Auxiliary, where he served as both vice president and treasurer. He also volunteered regularly at the local food pantry, always finding joy in helping others.

Jim’s kindness, humor, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. He was the first to lend a hand, share a laugh, or offer words of encouragement. His legacy will live on in the lives he influenced and the love he shared.

Calling hours at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home in Warsaw, NY on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 10:00 followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00. Luncheon to follow at the Moose Lodge on Main St. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

Jim will be remembered as a dedicated teacher, a loyal friend, and above all a loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to Gateway Home, Attica, NY or the Warsaw food pantry.
