Mr. James Henry Graves affectionately known to family and friends as "Boody" of Graham, North Carolina was born in Alamance County on July 19, 1952 to Mr. James Graves and Ms. Eula Mae Ector. Mr. Graves transitioned on April 21, 2025 while he was being cared for by the staff of Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. James was a member of the 1968 Sophomore Class of Central High School and a 1970 Western Alamance High School graduate.
Years after his departure from high school, he played a very important role in helping to organize the 1970 graduating class reunions. "Boody" was a fun and loving individual who truly cared for the people in his life.
Some of his hobbies included eating, socializing, and shopping. He was also a faithful member of Union Chapel UCC. Mr. Graves leaves his cherished memories to his brother: Vinson Graves (Michelle), his partner Larry Gilliam, his adopted brother Todd Hicks, sister-in-law Angie Graves, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Graves was preceded in death by his siblings: Charlie Graves, Teresa Graves, and Ann Graves.
