James Ernest Green, age 88, of Angier, NC died on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in SECU Hospice House of Johnston, Smithfield, NC. He was born on March 24, 1937 in Gaston County, NC to the late James and Lillian Green.
He is survived by his wife, Melvie B. Green; his children, James Green, Michael Keziah and his wife, Karol and Tracy Pottmeyer and her husband, Keith; his grandchildren, Joshua Green, Robert Pottmeyer, Daniel Pottmeyer, Meagan Keziah and her husband, Chris Laughlin, Terrance Jacob Keziah and Laney Charlotte Keziah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Joe Green.
His visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 300 E. McIver Street, Angier, NC.
A private graveside service will be held at Lucy Helms Cemetery, Monroe, NC.
