James C. Griffin

James Conner Griffin, 94, of Coloma passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at home.

A celebration of life service will take place at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Bright Star Tabernacle, 5130 Old Pipestone Road, Eau Claire with military honors rendered by the U.S. Army and Stevensville American Legion. Visitation will be held one hour prior, from 11 a.m. to noon also at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Carole Smith.

Jim was born on Oct. 21, 1931, to John and Wilma (Scarborough) Griffin Sr.

Jim honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Professionally, he dedicated many years as a maintenance foreman with Ancast, Inc.

Jim is survived by his daughters: Carole Smith and Marcell (Rickey) Knighten; sister, Stella (Wayne) Wetkowski; special sister-in-law, Edith (Eddie) Johnson; grandchildren: Jerry (Jodi) Collins, Tonya Collins, Eric (Alicia Rooker) Doerr, David (Alexis Hiser) Doerr, Melinda (John) Miller and Sarah (Terry) Chambers; great-grandchildren: Kyle, Bryan, Jerry Jr., Orianna, Annabelle, Joel, Elijah, Scarlett, Ashleigh, Kayleigh, Peytan, Jadyn and many other beloved family members.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Doris (Smith) Griffin; grandson, James Doerr and siblings: John Griffin Jr., Irene (Alex) Buchbinder, Mary (Ivan) Price, Leon (Betty) Griffin, Bill Griffin and Donald (Joyce) Griffin.
