James Leon Guill, 55, of Princeton, KY, born October 20, 1969, to James Henry Guill and the late Deloris Ann Atwood Guill, passed away on September 26, 2025, at his residence.

James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He worked at Fortner Gas Company for many years, was a master plumber, and was currently employed with the Local 184 Union.

He was a faithful member of Quinn Missionary Baptist Church, where he found not only spiritual nourishment but also a strong sense of community. His faith guided him throughout his life and was an integral part of his identity.

Known for his adventurous spirit, James had a wide array of interests that endeared him to many. He delighted in the great outdoors, spending countless hours fishing, rabbit hunting, and deer hunting. Those who knew him well recognized his passion for mud racing, where he embraced the thrill and excitement. His unique sense of direction—often leading him to unexpected places—added a touch of humor and spontaneity to his adventures.

James also enjoyed roller skating, a pastime that brought out his joyous and playful side. He was known for his ability to bring smiles to those around him, often sharing laughter and warmth through his engaging personality.

James is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Shelby Lewis Guill; two daughters, Chasity Hale (Devin) and Courtney Blackburn (Matthew), both of Princeton, KY; two brothers, Michael Guill (Tammy) of Princeton, KY, and John Guill (Stacey) of Dawson Springs, KY; and three grandsons, Waylon Hale, James Easton Blackburn, and Case Hale. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A visitation to honor James's life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Trinity Global Methodist Church, located at 234 Northfield Dr., Princeton, KY 42445.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Mike Franklin, also at Trinity Global Methodist Church located at 234 Northfield Dr., Princeton, KY 42445. Burial will follow at Guill Cemetery.
