James Carson "Jimmy" Hagemann, 64 years old, of
Pampa, Texas, passed from this life into eternal rest on Saturday morning, September 21st, 2024, in Amarillo. He was born on August 25, 1960, to Jess and Loveta Hagemann in
Pampa, Texas.
Jimmy was born a military brat and lived numerous places throughout his childhood including Germany before settling into Pampa as his lifelong home. After graduating from Pampa High School with the Class of '79' he started his career with the City of Pampa in the Wastewater Collection department. According to Jimmy, he was a "turd buster" for all of Pampa residents before retiring after 31 ½ years he was very particular about the ½ year! On September 2, 1995, Jimmy married Donna Ray and happily took to her three kids as his own. It wasn't long after they adopted their fourth child, Logan. Donna passed away in 2006 and being fortunate enough to find two loves in his life, Jimmy married Carolyn Gilmer on June 11, 2011.
He was blessed with artistic abilities of drawing, painting in several mediums, and woodworking. Numerous displays of his work are all around his home from paintings, drawings in charcoal, tables, a bar, frames and countless other treasures he has crafted with his hands and love. When not devoting his time in a creative manner, he had a tendency to pull out the Wild Turkey and then the party commenced! Once the drinks started flowing, he was lovingly referred to as the "Reverend Hagemann", but he was best known for his CB handle, "The Taz".
Jimmy loved listening to old country or classic rock and enjoyed two-stepping when given an opportunity. He was pretty good at shooting pool, playing poker as well as playing craps, but his all-time favorite hobby was riding his motorcycle. He loved to travel cross country or just cruise the highway – didn't matter as long as he was on his bike. The last long haul he was able to take was about seven years ago with Carol and his kids to Las Vegas.
Most know Jimmy as a jokester that could never be taken seriously, but his grandkids thought he was the best and to top it off, he made the greatest omelets and pancakes ever! Periodically, he and Carol would have the grandkids over for a hot tub party if they had done well in school or other activities and they loved it. Jimmy had his quirks, such as an extra rare steak (nearly mooing that a good vet could bring back), hot sauce and practically anything spicy, old country music and an extremely loud TV that drove everyone crazy, but at the end of the day, he was, as his son Chad put it, a King to them! He will be so deeply missed by many.
Those who awaited his arrival into Heaven are his parents, a sister, Mary Pearl Hagemann; his late wife, Donna Hagemann, or his Little Doll as he referred to her; an aunt, Ferrell Day and a grandson, Joseph Valdez.
He leaves to laugh at his ornery antics and cherish his many memories his wife, Carolyn Hagemann of Pampa; daughters, Amy Wildcat and husband Johnny of Pampa, Christy Clancy and partner Johnnie Fuller of Pampa; sons, Chad Clancy and wife Melanie of Amarillo, Logan Hagemann of Amarillo; seven granddaughters, Stephanie Saxour, Lindsey Valdez, Savanna McPherson and partner Danny Perez all of Pampa, Samantha Clancy of Amarillo, Raenie Casillas and husband Cristian of Tulsa, OK, Angelina Hughes and partner Julyan Pinones of Arlington, Liana Matlock and husband Dusty of Jacksonville, NC; ten grandsons, Nicholas Clancy of Jacksonville, FL, Ryan Clancy and wife Chelsea, Jonathen Wildcat and partner Mickensey Donohue, Anthony Clancy and partner Lella McPherson all of Pampa, Colton Wildcat and wife Emily of Tulsa, Ok, Donovan Sexton, Andrew Clancy, Colt Nottingham all of Pampa, Jesci Clancy of Amarillo, Anthony Chavez of Pampa; nine great-granddaughters, Marissa, Namida, Luna, Talia, Walela, Nadia, Journee, Tayanna, Cerinity; 14 great-grandsons, Matthew, Phoenix, Zayne, Daniel, Austin, Zalynne, Carlos, Eli, Keilyn, Isaiah, Lorenzo, Rylan, Christian, Skylar and Kiam; a brother, Carl Hagemann and wife Karen; nephews, Sam Hagemann, CL Hagemann all of Childress; as well as a special niece, Reba Nottingham and husband Mikey and last but certainly not least, a very special sister-in-law, Melissa Waldrip all of Pampa.
