James Timothy Haggerty

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James T. Haggerty (1945-2025). He departed peacefully on September 26, 2025 in the comfort of his home with family in Levittown, NY.

As a drafted veteran of the US Army, Jim served his country with integrity and honor. Upon his return from war, Jim accepted a position with Con Edison and dedicated the next 43 years to building a successful career at the company, from which he retired in 2011 as a Quality Control Inspector.

Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellen, his children, Colleen and Daniel, and his grandson Liam.

Jim was known for his resourceful ingenuity, his sense of humor, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He was devoted to his family and consistently put their needs before his own. He will be greatly missed by those lucky enough to know him.
