James B. Hairfield (76) passed away Thursday September 11, 2025, at South Sunflower Hospital in Indianola, Mississippi.
James was born August 25, 1949 to Rosser B Hairfield and Vera Joy Collins in the cola miner area of West Virginia. James was a trucker driver for over 48 years, delivering to all 48 states in the lower in the USA. He loved his job traveling the highways, He also loved reading and missing around with all type of trucks. The road was where he called home. Mr. Hairfield was a Army veterans serving 2 tours of duty in Vietnam.
James was preceded in death by his parents Rosser and Vera Hairfield and a brother, Ronald Hairfield.
He leaves behind his wife Mary Hairfield of Belzoni, Mississippi, sisters Kate Ferguson, Elizabeth Ann Cole, brother Richard Glenn Hairfield all living in Ohio. He also leaves behind his stepson Jake Little and God son Johnny Taylor both from Belzoni, Belzoni, Mississippi.
A family will be held at a later date in Ohio.
