James Richard Hallberg Sr.

Yet another of my shipmates has been taken home. I served with Jim during the Vietnam War when our ship, USS Mullinnix DD-944, was called to the Vietnam Gunline in response to the North's Easter Day Invasion. Jim was in IC and I was a FTG. My duty station was in the compartment on top of Jim's. There was a hatch between the two compartment that was open most of the time. We saw each other on a regular basis. This isn't goodbye. Our heartfelt condolences to Donna and the family. We remember his kindness in moving us from Illinois to northwest Wisconsin years ago. We treasure memories of the family at St. Mark Lutheran and their continued relationship with our Illinois family members. Love and prayers to you.
