James Leroy Harper 91, of Cannonsburg passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side 2/17/2026.

Jim was born May 29, 1934. He was the youngest of John Harper & Sarah Dette Shirley.

Jim married Etta Jean (Holt) Harper they shared 53 years of marriage together. Jim is survived by two daughters Terri Lynn Jeffries & Jeanne Marie Dunn-Nale (Lorne Nale) and his grandson Cory Jameson Koltiska and fiancée Maddison McMeans. And also nephews, and nieces.

Jim is further proceeded in death by his wife Etta Jean Harper, four brothers one sister at birth and two grandsons Randy Lee Jeffries, and James Lawrence Harper.

Jim started his career very young. He delivered daily notes in Cannonsburg worked at the Canonsburg pottery retired from J&L steel Mill always a Cannonsburg native all of his life.

Jim attended living Waters Church of God in Washington Pennsylvania. Jim made friends everywhere and loved the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, NASCAR ,and stock car racing. Jim attended races with a dear friend of his Jeff Rybarski.

Jim love to garden, hunt, and talk with people and he was a people person all of his life.

A celebration of life Service and luncheon will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026 at St. Patrick Church of St Oscar Romano Parish, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317 from 1-4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridges Hospice and, Kadima in North Strabane nursing home.

Thank you to the residents and staff for your love and support with our father.

Lastly John Bizub continue to read the observer reporter out loud to Dad he will be listening every day.
