Richard Speer Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard "Rick" Speer Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of a remarkable 70 years to Harriet Ann. Rick loved his children, Shari Sharp, Diana (Robert) Altieri, and Rick (Dana Bilohlavek) Speer; and was a loving grandfather of Nicole (Ryan) Kalakewich, Christopher Sharp, Billy Altieri, Emily (Jeffrey)Young, Samantha (Nathan) Moeder, Ricky Speer and Ryan Speer; and great-grandfather of Faye, Arthur, Lawrence, Hollis and Adler. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family. His stories, laughter, and the way he lit up a room with his infamous one liners will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him. He had the ability to have a witty comeback for almost any conversation, something that he passed on to everyone in the family. He was a one-of-a-kind man, which is why his legacy lives on in each and every one of us, while we will miss him deeply. Family and Friends are being received Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2-7pm at the Leo J. Henney Funeral Home, 323 Second Avenue, Carnegie. Additional Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am. www.leohenneyfuneralhome.com
