Nancy Lee Messmer

Nancy Lee (Searight) Messmer, age 85, of Oakdale, formerly of Crafton passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026. Her kind heart and gentle soul touched every person she met, and she was a constant source of unconditional love, patience, and comfort. Her greatest joys in life were her cat Gigi, her favorite books and television shows, and above all her dear family. She was the beloved wife of 40 years to the late Bernard E. Messmer; loving mother of Betsy (John) Tomer, Chrissie (Edward) Salerno, and the late Amy (surviving spouse Rob) Charley and Stanley (surviving spouse Amy) Hindes; grandmother of Ashlee (Alex), Robbie (Salamai), Jordan (Halyna), Angela, Emily, Jay, Adrienne, Noah, and Jerome; great-grandmother of Scarlett, Gabriel, Jafar, Ferozah, Caine and Salahudeen; and sister of James (Mary) Searight. Relatives and friends received Friday, March 20, 2026, from 12 PM until the funeral service at 1:30 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. Interment to follow in Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie.
