Funeral service for James Harrington, age 62 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Charlie Glass officiating. Interment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery with Core De Vires, Hunter Stonaker, Darrell Box, Danny Wilburn, Tim Motley and Dakota Jenkins serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Harrington passed away on January 1, 2023 at his residence.
James was born on June 9, 1960 in Paris, Texas to John Benjamin and Lucille (Scott) Harrington. He married Maria Espinoza. James was self-employed. He loved hunting, sky diving and was a thrill seeker. Jamese was very proud of being an ex-police officer. He used to be a deputy and he served Hopkins County as well as other surrounding counties. We are very proud of his service so we want to make sure that is honored as well.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; daughters, Many Traxler, Dana Phillips, Chancey Sharp and Elizabeth Ortega; sons, Anthony Ortega, Michael Ortega, Robert Campos and David Espinoza; numerous grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
