James Helms Obituary
on April 30, 2024, after an extended illness. A service of remembrance will be held on May 25,
2024 at 2:00 p.m., at the home of Traci and Robert Williams.
Beau was born June 22, 1978, to James Kerry Helms, Sr. and Teresa Sikes Brown. Beau enjoyed
spending time with his family, friends, as well as all babies and dogs. His time with others was
always marked by his great sense of humor. He was known to be an amazing welder, which was
a skill he learned from his father.
Beau was preceded in death by his father, Kerry, maternal grandparents Harold and Frances
Sikes of Scooterville, and paternal grandparents James and Clarice Helms of Sylvester.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Beau are his daughter, Kara Marie Helms of
Scooterville, his mother Teresa Brown (Jerry) of Sumner, his sister Katie Blanton (Carly) of
Tifton, his step-mother Margaret Hart, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves
behind special friends John Cravey, and Shanna Souter-McCulley, the mother of Kara.
