James Helphinstine Obituary
James Allen Helphinstine, age 82, of Adrian, MI, passed away March 16, 2024 at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center, Adrian, MI.
Jim was born July 13, 1941 in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of B.A. "Bannie" and Mary (Baty) Helphinstine. On June 18, 1974, he
married Dorothea Sue Sickels in Connersville, Indiana. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2015.
Jim was a resident of the Adrian, Michigan area since 2015, coming from Indiana. Jim was a member of Hudson First Congregational Church,
Hudson, Michigan.
Jim is survived by good friends and caregivers, Pastor Eric (Mary) Hickman of Hudson, MI, nieces, nephews, sister in law, Betty Sickels, and brother in law,
Donnie SIngleton.
He was preceded in death by 8 sisters, Effie Pearl Helphinstine, Juanita Joyce Helphinstine, Geneva Kitchen, Crecia Pointer, Margaret Freeland, Jessie Holland,
Betty Jo Lattire, and Anna Singleton; and 3 brothers, Everett Helphinstine, Bobby Helphinstine, and Danny Ray Helphinstine.
Cremation has taken place and no services are currently scheduled.
