James L. Henderson

James L. "Jim" Henderson (1932-2011) CEDAR FALLS- James Leland "Jim" Henderson, 78, of Cedar Falls died Monday, February 7, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. He was born March 4, 1932 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Charles S. and Elizabeth (Carroll) Henderson. He married Connie McCann on February 5, 1955 in Des Moines. He was employed with Chicago Great Western Railway, and later owned and operated Henderson Traffic Bureau. Survivors include his wife, Connie; three daughters, Julie (Douglas) Craven of Austin, MN, Linda Gill of Naperville, IL, and Theresa Henderson of Colorado Springs, CO; a son, James Patrick (Lonnie) of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia (Bob) Junk of Independence, and Mary Jo (Tom) Kershisnik of Rocks Springs, WY. Preceded in death by a son, John Charles Henderson and a brother, Edward Monahan. Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls where there will be a 9:15 a.m. Rosary. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the church, Salvation Army, or donor's choice.
