James Ralph "Jug" Henry

James Ralph "Jug" Henry was born February 1, 1966,in Lake Charles, Louisiana to John Henry and Enola Garrick Henry. He was a 1984 graduate of Washington Marion Magnet High School where he played basketball. After high school, James moved to California where he was employed by McClainMoving Company. In 2005, he moved back to Lake Charles where he worked in upholstery and at Superior Steel in Sulphur. It had to be mentioned that James enjoyed playing dominoes. He departed this life Saturday, August 31, 2024, in San Jacinto, California. He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter,Angela Henry; son, Devontae Henry; stepchildren, Kia and Courtney Burson; mother, Enola Henry; sisters, Barbara "Booze" Henry Thompson, Tammy Henry (Charlie) Parker, and Genora Henry (Reginald) Lewis; brother, Gilbert (Alonda) Henry; girlfriend, Susan Bertrand; bonus daughters, Jazilyn Bean and Allison Bertrand; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry. His memorial service will be 11AM Saturday, September 21, 2024, at James Funeral Home located at 1801 Moeling Street in Lake Charles.
