James W. Herrera Sr

James W. Herrera, Age 43, was tragically murdered and taken from us, he was found on the 25th of September 2025. James was born on October 13th, 1981, in Walla Walla, Washington to Salvador Herrera and Sherry Vasquez. Growing up James enjoyed playing outside, riding bikes and spending time with his brothers. In adulthood James was always a hard worker and loving father when he could be. He loved cars, installing stereos and swimming.

It is no secret that our brother struggled with addiction throughout his life, but that did not define him. We are proud that the past 9 months we were able to enjoy James soberly, making memories that we will cherish forever. While we won't excuse the past life James lived, we also will continue to honor the person we always knew him to be. He loved deeply, was always willing to help and give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

James leaves behind his daughters Mariah, Maya, Aleya, his son James Jr, and he is preceded in death by his son Nicholas, father Salvador and brother Chris.
