James Higdon Obituary
Born on January 26, 1953, in Wilmington, Delaware, Jim, or Buddy, as his parents and siblings fondly called him, was the son of the late James Arthur Higdon, Sr., and Lois Sarah (Harris) Higdon.
Jim was a lifelong entrepreneur who worked for many years as a contractor in Dover, Delaware. From 1995 to 2010, until his retirement, he proudly served as the Sheriff of Kent County.
Jim faced many challenges in his last years and was appreciative of his family's efforts of support, and likewise, his family appreciates Jim's good friends for their love and support of him.
Jim is survived by his son, John Higdon; stepson, Todd Wyatt; stepdaughter, Michele Wyatt; granddaughter, Alexis Ballard; sister, Brenda Bennett (John); brother, Doug Higdon (Yong); and stepbrother, David Lowery.
The family will hold a private remembrance.
