James Hildebrand Obituary

James "Jim" E. Hildebrand

James E Hildebrand (Fast Eddie) age 74, of Weippe Idaho and Weyauwega WI, passed away April 14th, 2021 from injuries sustained from a boating accident on April 6, 2021. He was born on March 29th, 1947, the oldest son of Ed and Dolores Hildebrand. Jim grew up in Weyauwega and was a graduate of Weyauwega High School in 1965. After graduating, he devoted his service to the Vietnam War where he received a purple heart in the Army 1ST Calvary. Jim then moved to Idaho where he worked and retired as a custodian for a local high school.

Through the years, Jim loved to catch walleyes on the Wolf River, watch the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks, listen to his rock and roll music, and drink his beloved Point beer. Jim was also an excellent storyteller and was truly loved by all that knew him.

Jim is survived by his brother Greg (Sharon) Hildebrand; sister in-law Wanda Hildebrand and her daughter's Andie and Jamie; brother and sister in-laws Ron and Jane Behm and family; nephews Scott (Diana), Andy (Mandi), and Dusty Hildebrand; great nephews Mason and Owen Hildebrand; a great niece Brooklynn Hildebrand; special friends Dan Wilson, Jan Ostermeier, and Steve Block, special friends in Idaho Jim and Wilbur, and many other friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Jo Hildebrand; his wife Susan Hildebrand; and his brother John Hildebrand.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family and special friends. A special thank you to Theda Clark ICU unit and staff for their compassion and dedication during this difficult time. Catch the big one Jim!
