James O. Hinton, a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, friend and an avid sports enthusiast, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on July 19, 1947, James led a life rich with friendships, laughter, and a steadfast love for his family.
Jim was known for his great smile and welcoming spirit. He had the remarkable ability to make those around him feel valued and appreciated. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished gathering with those he loved. Quality time often involved good food while watching a Reds or Bengals game, playing scrabble, Mexican trains, or corn hole. No matter the occasion he filled every space and moment with love and warmth.
A proud veteran of the Army, Jim served his country honorably, embodying a sense of duty and loyalty that carried into his civilian life. He was a devoted husband to Geneva Hinton who passed away in July of 2024, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years of marriage, creating a legacy of love and partnership that will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his children, Joey Suesz, Pam (Paul) Rybolt, Kathy Suesz, Gwen Pollock, and Christy Love. Jim was also a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, each of whom carried a special place in his heart. His siblings, Monty (Betty) Hinton, Mary Steward, Elise (Paul) Houston, Debbie (Ray) Broxterman, and Jeff (Kathleen) Hinton also mourn his passing.
Family will greet friends Monday, January 13th from Noon until time of Blessing at 2 PM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd.
James O. Hinton's warmth, kindness, and love of life touched many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
