James D "Jim" Holt

James "Jim" Donald Holt passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. Known to most simply as Jim, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose steady presence and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Jim was a man of quiet strength and remarkable kindness. His patience and gentle nature made others feel heard, supported, and valued. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer thoughtful advice, or simply sit and listen. Helping people came naturally to him-it was simply who he was.
He found joy in life's simple pleasures. An avid gardener and passionate beekeeper, Jim cherished his time at the Roger Williams Park community garden and loved peaceful walks at Rocky Point State Park. Nature was his sanctuary, and he found deep satisfaction in tending what he planted and watching it grow.
Above all, Jim loved his family. He was a proud husband to Lynn Holt; a proud father to Laura Hoole (Jesse), Shaun Holt (Sherry), and Tim Holt; a devoted grandfather to his three cherished grandchildren; and a dear brother to Happy Holt and Kevin Holt. He treasured every moment spent with those he loved.
Jim will be remembered for his kindness, patience, love of the outdoors, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
Per Jim's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
